One of the most defining features of a cat is its claws. Being a cat lover, I have always been fascinated with the uniqueness of a cat's claw, how it sheds, and how it can be sharpened like new again. Using the anatomy of a cat claw, I created a uniform shape used throughout each majuscule letter, number, and punctuation.
This Sharpened typeface is an ode to my favorite feline friend, Roger my orange tabby cat.
For this typeface, I wanted to focus on the movement and curvature of the cat claw. For me, the Regular version of this typeface highlights the general shape of a cat's nail while it is intact. The Outlined version of the typeface more so resembles the cat's nail after it has been shed.
